Love's Fall from Grace
Could we with ink the ocean fill
and were the skies of parchment made,
would all the words I could write,
be worthy of your sweet gaze?
What if every stalk on Earth a quill
and every man a "scribe" by trade?
Would the beauty of these thoughts and words
last long enough to sweeten our Earthly days?
Oh the love (we know) is rich and pure
and it is measureless and STRONG!
Through time and space, through life and death,
a love such as this cannot be wrong!
Your tears like waterfalls are raining down,
under a dark and moonless sky.
Walking sightlessly in puddles unseen,
the pain I feel gives me 'cause to die.
Once hopelessly in love,
now just a hollow shell, helpless and alone.
Aimlessly searching for my soul,
at last, I've found, it's always shone.
